Son of Knightmare creator Tim Child.

Ben interviewed his father and Hugo Myatt (Treguard) for The Guardian's How we made Knightmare article in 2013. Later that year, Ben served as Floor Manager for Knightmare's YouTube Geek Week episode.

At the 2014 Knightmare Convention, Tim revealed that Ben had also appeared in the episode, playing Garstang (a role that the elder Mr. Child had previously played in Knightmare VR and a video seen on the Intermedialabs website).

Along with other members of the Child family, Ben attended the Knightmare Live show at London's Leicester Square Theatre on 15th November 2025.
